MULTAN, Pakistan: The divisional administration, following the directives of the Punjab government, has launched a search operation to identify and locate illegal foreigners, with a particular focus on those hailing from Afghanistan.
This decision was made during a video conference meeting chaired by Commissioner Dr. Nasir Mehmood, which included the participation of officials from relevant departments, District Commissioners (DCs), and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sajjad Hussain.
The Commissioner emphasized that landlords who provide shelter to illegal foreigners and those who support them financially would also face consequences for their actions.
He instructed using modern tools and technology to detect undocumented residents throughout the division. Undocumented foreigners will be relocated to designated facilities that have been transformed into guest houses.
The Commissioner urged officials to ensure that all necessary amenities and services are provided at these guest houses.
Nasir Mehmood, referring to the order of CM Punjab, directed the staff to help out foreigners at the maximum level until they were deported from Pakistan. —APP
