MINA: Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser has inspected the bus shuttle service for Hajj pilgrims to assess service quality and ensure a safe transport experience between the holy sites and the Grand Mosque.
Al-Jasser examined the shuttle service station located west of the Jamarat, which is directly linked to the Grand Mosque to facilitate pilgrim transfers for Tawaf Al-Ifadah and other rituals, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.
A dedicated shuttle service track has been introduced to separate bus and pedestrian traffic, significantly improving safety and efficiency for pilgrims. The shuttle ride takes around 20 minutes and is supported by a fleet of 100 buses, each capable of carrying 125 passengers. This system enables an impressive capacity of up to 20,000 passengers per hour at each station.
