RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has received a phone call from Swedish Minister for Defence Pål Jonson during which they discussed regional security and stability.

During the call, the two ministers reviewed bilateral defence relations, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

“I received a phone call from His Excellency the Swedish Minister of Defence, Paul Johnson,” the Saudi Defence Minister said in a post on X.

“We reviewed the bilateral relations between our two countries in the defense field, and discussed the current developments in the region and the efforts being made toward them; in a manner that achieves security and stability at both the regional and international levels,” he added.

Saudi Arabia and Sweden maintain growing defence and security ties focused on military technology, defence cooperation, and industrial collaboration.

The two countries have also expanded defence dialogue through official visits and discussions on security cooperation, alongside broader economic and technological partnerships.
