MAKKAH: President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais announced the successful implementation of the presidency’s operational plan for the Hajj season 2026, affirming that its enrichment, awareness, and guidance objectives were fully achieved, enhancing pilgrims’ spiritual experience to the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.
Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais stated that the presidency launched 166 specialised and awareness initiatives during Hajj, including 97 at the Grand Mosque and 69 at the Prophet’s Mosque, benefiting more than 6.8 million people and generating over 46.8 million digital and on-site engagements worldwide, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.
Al-Sudais highlighted the presidency’s global outreach through multilingual translations of the Arafah, Eid Al-Adha, and Friday sermons, alongside digital platforms that promoted Islam’s message of moderation and reinforced Saudi Arabia’s religious leadership.
More than 683,000 direct guidance services and 95,000 religious inquiries were provided, while over 32,000 pilgrims benefited from instant translation services, according to SPA.
The presidency also delivered 1,868 religious lessons and lectures, organized 174,710 Quranic circles, distributed over 160,000 Quran copies and 236,605 educational publications, and presented 872,943 awareness gifts.
Al-Sudais attributed the season’s success to the Kingdom’s leadership support, institutional integration, and the contributions of 13,879 volunteers and partner agencies.
