ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior is participating in the exhibition accompanying the second edition of the Hajj Media Hub, organised by the Ministry of Media from June 1 to 4 (Dhul Al-Hijjah 5 to 8), at the Makkah Chamber Exhibitions and Events Centre.

Through its participation, the ministry aims to raise awareness of the importance of adhering to Hajj regulations and guidelines, ensuring that pilgrims perform their rituals in safety, comfort, and tranquillity.

At its pavilion, the ministry is showcasing the use of artificial intelligence applications in crowd management and highlighting its efforts during the Hajj season to safeguard the security and safety of visitors to the two holy mosques.

 Makkah Route Initiative

The ministry is also presenting the Makkah Route Initiative—one of its flagship projects under the Pilgrim Experience Programme, a key component of Saudi Vision 2030.

Now in its seventh year, the initiative is being implemented in 12 terminals across eight countries during the 1446 AH Hajj season.

The pavilion further features information on penalties for violating Hajj regulations, the reception of security and emergency humanitarian reports through the Unified Security Operations Centres (911), and key services offered via the Absher electronic platform.
