Saudi Foreign Minister, IAEA Chief Discuss Nuclear Non-Proliferation Cooperation

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, has met International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi and discussed cooperation in the field of nuclear non-proliferation and ensuring nuclear safety and security.

During the meeting in Riyadh, the two sides also discussed a number of issues and topics of mutual interest, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Economic and Development Affairs Deputyship, Prince Saud bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Director of the Disarmament Department, and Dr. Manal Radwan, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Foreign Ministry.

Grossi was in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, where he visited the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, which was targeted in a drone attack last month.
