Saudi FM Meets Blinken in Jordan: SPA

AMMAN: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has held a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Amman, Jordan on the sidelines of the Arab-US meeting, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

The two sides discussed means to support efforts to stop the escalation of military operations in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, the SPA added. During the meeting, they discussed the efforts made to permit humanitarian relief and medical help into the Gaza Strip to stop the worsening of the humanitarian crisis, the SPA maintained.

According to the SPA, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah emphasized the Kingdom’s strong opposition to the forced displacement of residents in Gaza and denounced any targeting of civilian people or damage to infrastructure in the Gaza Strip that affects their daily lives.

The meeting was also attended by Assistant Director of the General Administration for Policy Planning Prince Dr. Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud Al-Kabeer, Saudi envoy to Jordan Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Saud Al-Sati, and DG of Foreign Minister’s Office Abdulrahman Al-Dawood.
