BISHKEK: Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador-designate to Kyrgyzstan, Iyad Hakim, formally presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Sadyr Japarov, marking a significant step in reinforcing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The credential ceremony took place at the presidential office in Bishkek, where the envoy conveyed warm greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The Saudi leadership extended its best wishes for the continued development, stability, and prosperity of the Kyrgyz Republic and its people.

During the meeting, President Japarov underscored Saudi Arabia’s influential role on the global stage, noting its strong political and economic standing.

He described the Kingdom as one of the leading powers in the Middle East and a valued partner for Kyrgyzstan in advancing mutual interests.

The Kyrgyz leader also emphasised his country’s commitment to nurturing a relationship built on trust, friendship, and mutual respect. He expressed Bishkek’s intention to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, and regional collaboration.
