ISLAMABAD/RIYADH: The defense minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Khalid bin Salman met in Riyadh the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, General Asim Munir, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Thursday.
The meeting discussed bilateral ties and ways to enhance defense and military cooperation.
Discussed bilateral military cooperation
Prince Khalid tweeted “Pleased to meet H.E General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan. We emphasized a strategic partnership between our friendly countries, reviewed the bilateral military and defense relationships, and discussed ways of strengthening our cooperation.”
He also congratulated General Munir on being appointed as Chief of Army Staff. Saudi and Pakistani military and civil authorities attended the meeting.

According to the media wing of the Pakistan military, General Syed Asim Munir is on an official visit to KSA and UAE from 4th to 10th December. He will be meeting the senior leadership of both brotherly countries to discuss matters of mutual interest, military-to-military cooperation and bilateral relations focusing on security-related subjects.
