ISLAMABAD/RIYADH: Saudi Arabia and Pakistan agreed on Monday to bolster military-to-military and defense cooperation between the two countries.
Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman has received in AlUla today the chief of army staff of Pakistan, General Asim Munir, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Monday.
According to the Arab News, the meeting discussed ways to develop bilateral relationships in addition to issues of mutual interest. Pakistani and Saudi senior officials attended the meeting.

Army chief talks with Saudi defense minister
Earlier, COAS Asim Munir had held talks with the Saudi defense minister on his first official trip to the Gulf kingdom. General Munir discussed military cooperation with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in the capital Riyadh last Thursday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
COAS Asim Munir, who took charge in November, has followed in the footsteps of his predecessors in visiting Saudi Arabia the close defense and economically on his maiden overseas trip. He could also visit the United Arab Emirates during the nearly one-week trip.
