RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA reported that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques thanked leaders of brotherly and friendly countries for their greetings and well wishes on the occasion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day, and extended his wishes for their good health and happiness, and the continued prosperity and progress of their respective peoples.
The Cabinet members also lauded the Royal speech delivered at the inauguration of the first year of the 9th session of the Shura Council, which outlined the country’s priorities, achievements, and goals, and reaffirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s unwavering resolve to promoting peace and prosperity in the world.
The Cabinet members have expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his Royal Order approving the King Salman Foundation bylaws, the SPA added. They praised the foundation, which is a reflection of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ resolve to building sustainable societies and investing in human development, and an extension of his longstanding tradition of charitable and humanitarian deeds, the SPA reported.
After the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the Cabinet reviewed the latest international developments, and reaffirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) commitment to promoting regional and global security and peace, supporting efforts to achieve political solutions to crises, and contributing to strengthening multilateral cooperation to address international challenges.
The Cabinet welcomed the United Nations General Assembly’s (UNGA) adoption of a resolution calling for an end to the unlawful occupation of Palestinian territories, and stressed the need to take solid and credible measures to achieve a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, in line with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant global resolutions.
The Cabinet also expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) hope that the Pact for the Future, adopted by the UN summit, will mark an important turning point in multilateral action. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) believes that this pact can contribute to establishing a modern and equitable global system that fosters rapid progress toward sustainable development goals, addresses the needs of all countries, bridges the digital gap, as well as supports emerging economies to strengthen the international financial system.
The Cabinet also deemed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) successful bid for the presidency of the International Coral Reef Initiative a testament to its global recognition and standing in the field of marine environment protection, biodiversity as well as ecosystem conservation.
Al-Dossary stated that the Cabinet also expressed pride in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) impressive results in the United Nations indicators concerning e-government development and tourism. They further strengthen the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) leading position and highlight the significant progress it has made in various sectors, conform with the goals of Vision 2030.
