JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet on Tuesday reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for all diplomatic efforts to achieve global peace and stability.
Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, chaired the Cabinet session held in Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
At the outset of the session, the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet of his consultations and discussions with the President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Swiss President Guy Parmelin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, and Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The Crown Prince expressed his appreciation to the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states for their participation in the GCC Consultative Summit hosted by Saudi Arabia, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing dialogue, consultation, and collective action to promote regional security and stability.
Following the meeting, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary told the Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet reviewed the latest regional and international developments, including their security and economic implications.
He said the Cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s firm position on these issues and its continued support for diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening global peace and stability.
The Cabinet also reviewed several reports on domestic affairs and highlighted the progress achieved under Saudi Vision 2030.
It noted that these achievements are supporting national development by building a more diversified and resilient economy, increasing the contribution of non-oil sectors, expanding the production and investment base, and launching specialised programmes and strategies to better utilise national resources while strengthening the Kingdom’s ability to adapt to global changes.
The Cabinet further commended the progress made across the first and second phases of Vision 2030, as the initiative moves closer to its overall objectives.
The Cabinet was informed that 93% of key performance indicators met their annual targets, supported by major structural, economic, financial, and legislative reforms.
These reforms have helped empower various sectors, attract investment, improve the quality of life, and enhance the Kingdom’s global competitiveness.
