Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka Agree to Strengthen Ties

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held a meeting with Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Overseas Employment, and Tourism of Sri Lanka, in Riyadh on Sunday and discussed bilateral ties.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed relations between their countries and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prince Faisal presented Herath with a commemorative postage stamp celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.

According to SPA, the meeting was also attended by Majid bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, Director of the South Asia Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
