RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has condemned the latest Iranian attacks on Kuwait, which targeted a Kuwaiti Armed Forces camp and key infrastructure, including a power and water desalination plant.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry, in a statement on Monday, emphasised that these “cowardly attempts by Iran and its blatant conduct” toward the countries of the region confirm the continuation of an unjustifiable hostile approach under any circumstances.
“Such actions constitute a clear violation of international laws and norms, as well as the principles of good neighbourliness, and risk further escalation in the region,” it said.

The Kingdom also expresses its sincere wishes for a swift recovery to the injured, and prays for the continued safety and security of Kuwait, its leadership, and people.
It may be recalled that ten Kuwaiti military personnel were injured after an Iranian missile strike targeted a military camp in the Gulf country, the Kuwaiti army said on Sunday, without disclosing the exact location.
The attack also caused material damage to the facility.
In a separate incident, an Indian worker was killed in an Iranian strike on a power and water desalination plant in Kuwait, according to the Ministry of Electricity and Water early Monday. The attack also damaged a service building at the facility.
