MAKKAH: The Saudi Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched a dedicated Quran class for deaf women at the Grand Mosque.

The initiative is part of its specialised educational initiatives to facilitate Quran learning, promote inclusivity in religious services, and ensure broader access to Quranic programmes, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The class provides a learning environment tailored to the needs of women with hearing disabilities, using appropriate teaching and communication methods to help them study the Holy Quran, understand its meanings, and enhance their Quranic skills.

The initiative also aims to ensure equal opportunities for deaf women to participate in the religious and educational programs available to female visitors at the Grand Mosque.

Meanwhile, the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Prophet’s Mosque is organising an intensive review programme on Friday for those who have memorised the Holy Quran as part of its ongoing efforts to help individuals refine their memorisation.

The programme consists of two days of review sessions, held near Gate 22 of the Prophet’s Mosque, providing an ideal scholarly environment for revisiting the Holy Quran and mastering its memorisation.
