JEDDAH: A regional health authority in Saudi Arabia held a workshop for healthcare practitioners as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj season, aimed at strengthening infection control and health readiness.
The Jeddah Second Health Cluster organised a specialised workshop for healthcare staff as part of early preparations for the Hajj season and efforts to enhance health readiness and pilgrim safety, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The workshop aimed to develop staff knowledge and skills in applying best practices in infection prevention and managing potential health risks during the Hajj season.
It also aimed to ensure compliance with approved infection control standards in healthcare facilities during the Hajj season.
The cluster affirmed that the workshop supports ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness and improve practitioners’ efficiency, contributing to better healthcare quality and the safety of patients, staff, and visitors, in line with professional practices and national standards.
