MAKKAH: Saudi Arabia has rolled out QR code technology across multiple locations within the Grand Mosque, allowing visitors to easily access services and digital platforms by simply scanning the codes with their smartphones.
The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has integrated Al-Qasid Gate into this system, enabling worshippers to access a wide range of religious and guidance services, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
These include scholarly lessons, awareness programmes, multilingual enrichment content, and practical instructions to help visitors perform their rituals in a calm and spiritually uplifting manner.
The initiative aims to deepen religious awareness among visitors and Umrah pilgrims, while creating an atmosphere of reassurance and devotion—reflecting Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their guests.
