MINA: Kidana Development Company, the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites (RCMC), has distributed one million awareness brochures for pilgrims in nine languages.
The brochures, in addition to a video, aim to enhance pilgrims’ awareness of the guidelines and instructions for the stoning of the Jamarat ritual, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
The brochure outlined the proper method for performing the stoning ritual using the designated one-way lane system and stressed the importance of following signboards within the facility to ensure safe and accurate navigation.
The brochure also emphasised the need for pilgrims to adhere to assigned group timings, identified the locations of the Mashaer Metro Train stations, and advised against carrying heavy luggage. Additionally, it reminded pilgrims not to sit in the courtyards or on the roads leading to the Jamarat facility, to help maintain smooth crowd flow and ensure everyone’s safety.
The media messages provided by Kidana included an explanation of the practical steps for the “Towards Mina” guidance project, through which pilgrims can easily reach their camp.
Key instructions included memorising the colour and number of the designated camp area, taking a photo of the signboard at the entrance gate, and following the corresponding signboards and colour-coded poles.
To further assist pilgrims, laser-lighting poles provide long-range visual guidance to campsites. Additionally, each floor of the Jamarat facility is marked with a specific colour zone, helping pilgrims select the correct route while performing the stoning ritual.
The plan step stems from Kidana’s efforts to enrich pilgrims’ experience, in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, by enhancing pilgrims’ awareness of instructions and guidelines consistent with the regulations within the Hajj plan.
