RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the bombing targeting a café in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which resulted in several deaths and injuries.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement on Friday, reaffirmed its solidarity with the Arab nation against all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism.
“The Kingdom also extends its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, and to the Government and people of Syria, and wishes the injured a swift recovery,” the statement said.

At least nine people were killed and dozens more injured after a bomb exploded at a crowded café in central Damascus on Thursday, according to Syrian state media.
Authorities have vowed to bring those responsible to justice, although no arrests or updates on the investigation have been announced. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Syrian state television reported that an explosive device had been planted inside the café, located near the Palace of Justice in the heart of the Syrian capital.
