MADINAH: Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has enhanced its operational readiness at the Prophet’s Mosque to receive worshippers after Hajj through a comprehensive system of organisational services.

The authority stated that its preparations included ensuring the readiness of 141 gates to regulate entry and exit in both the men’s and women’s sections, as well as the provision of 100 organisational corridors throughout the Prophet’s Mosque and its courtyards, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Saudi authority also provided 25,000 prayer rugs to accommodate worshippers.

In addition, 194 escalators and elevators have been prepared to facilitate movement within the mosque, while more than 10,000 Zamzam water dispensers have been distributed, according to SPA.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce continues its inspection and supply-monitoring tours to assess the availability of goods in markets and retail outlets to meet increased demand, SPA reported.

The tours also aim to verify the quality and efficiency of services provided to pilgrims, enhancing regulatory compliance and supporting market stability.

The ministry’s inspection teams are carrying out these tours across various targeted locations in Madinah, focusing on verifying the availability of essential goods and products and monitoring commercial establishments’ compliance with applicable regulations and instructions, according to SPA.

Meanwhile, the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched an initiative to welcome and receive visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, offering religious guidance and instruction to enhance their spiritual journey.

The initiative aims to enhance religious awareness among visitors and familiarise them with the rulings, virtues, and etiquette associated with visiting the Prophet’s Mosque through a range of guidance programs and diverse educational content.

The initiative includes the distribution of informational gift kits featuring guidance materials in multiple languages, aimed at enhancing visitors’ religious knowledge and reinforcing the awareness and educational messages promoted by the presidency.
