BEIRUT: Saudi Arabia has assumed the presidency of the Union of Arab Chambers for a new term, represented by the President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers and Chairman of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, Abdullah Saleh Kamel.
The Kingdom succeeds Tunisia in line with the union’s system of rotating the presidency alphabetically among Arab countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
Presidency to focus on Arab economic integration
Saudi Arabia’s presidency coincides with the implementation of the union’s 2026–2030 strategy, which seeks to strengthen Arab economic integration by promoting investment and joint production, connecting capital with investment opportunities, developing value chains, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises, and enhancing private-sector participation in shaping Arab economic priorities.

Saudi Vision 2030
The Kingdom’s presidency comes as Saudi Vision 2030 enters its third phase for 2026–2030, focusing on accelerating implementation and maximising its impact.
