MOSCOW: Russia on Thursday accused NATO of deliberately provoking Kyiv to prolong the conflict in Ukraine. Kremlin said that Ukrainian officials have been seeking permission from allies to use Western-supplied weapons against Russia.
These comments came as NATO foreign ministers were meeting in Prague, where there were increasing demands to lift restrictions preventing Kyiv from targeting Russia with Western arms.
“NATO member states, the United States, and capitals in Europe in recent days and weeks have been entering a new round of escalations in tensions and they are doing it deliberately,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Peskov claimed they are actively pushing Ukraine towards continuing the war, which he described as senseless.
