RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has welcomed and congratulated Sudan on the launch of the final phase of the political process in the African country.
Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry said on Sunday that Riyadh extended its greeting to Sudan for taking steps to implement the final phase of the political process to promote an atmosphere of trust between all parties in the country.
Riyadh will support Sudan
The Kingdom also commended the efforts of international bodies including the UN Mission in Sudan, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development and the African Union. The foreign ministry said that the Kingdom affirmed its complete support for the return of political stability to the African country.

The ministry further said that Saudi Arabia continues efforts to achieve political stability, prosperity and development in Sudan in conjunction with the Friends of Sudan group and other international stakeholders.
