RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s National Centre for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has supplied thousands of native plant seedlings to support the Riyadh Region Municipality’s “Riyadh Volunteers” initiative.
Under this programme, 80,000 seedlings were planted with the participation of more than 20,000 volunteers, advancing the objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative and promoting environmental sustainability, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
This contribution is part of NCVC’s ongoing efforts to enhance urban afforestation and complements the municipality’s environmental initiatives.
