KARACHI: Pakistani film actress Resham has strongly criticized Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar for his habit of speaking negatively about well-known Pakistani stars. Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar is a famous Pakistani writer and recently back on television screen with his drama Gentleman. He remains in the news for his controversial statements against top Pakistani actors. However, the recent debate was started on social media when he spoke against Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar.
Pakistani film star Resham publicly criticized the writer for his constant negative comments and termed it as his strategy to get more attention.
Talking about the current debate, the actress said, “I don’t want to talk about that writer. He should focus on himself rather criticizing others. He should take care of his health as well. I felt bad to see his recent television appearances as he has changed completely.”
She further added, “We have always heard that inner beauty enhances the outer look. If I will always criticize people, I will look ugly as well. All my beauty is because of my positive charitable work. We should appreciate and respect talented actors like Nauman Ijaz, rather than criticize him, as Khalil ur Rehman did”.
Resham also said that Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar is a clever writer who deliberately criticizes actors to get attention and make headlines. By mentioning well-known actors, he seeks attention, and this is the way of staying in the spotlight.
