Rawalpindi Gears Up for Grand Celebration of Eid Milad-Un-Nabi

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi city is adorned with decorations and preparations are underway to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) with great religious fervor.

In line with the rest of the country, Rawalpindi Division is fully immersed in preparations for the celebration of Eid Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW) on September 29 (Friday).

The streets, roads, and buildings in the division are illuminated with colorful lights and buntings as faithful individuals contribute to the festive decorations.

Numerous programs and events have been organized to mark the birth of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) with reverence and devotion. Naat committees in the city are conducting Naat competitions as part of the celebrations.

As is customary, both government and religious organizations have planned various activities for this annual event. Milad-un-Nabi processions will be held in different areas of Rawalpindi city, with stringent security measures in place to ensure the safety of the participants.

The Punjab government has instructed district and tehsil administration officers to enforce strict security measures for the occasion.

The main procession of Milad-Un-Nabi is set to commence from Bunni Chowk Rawalpindi in the morning and will follow a route through Circular Road, Waris Khan, Murree Road, Committee Chowk, Iqbal Road, Fowara Chowk, Raja Bazaar, concluding at the central Jamia Mosque.

The district administration is finalizing security plans to safeguard the faithful during Eid Milad-Un-Nabi. Heavy vehicles such as tractor trolleys and trucks will not be allowed along the procession route.

Ulema and individuals from various walks of life have been urged to contribute to maintaining law and order and thwarting any potential disruptions.

A dedicated control room will be established by the district administration to monitor the processions and oversee security arrangements.
