ISLAMABAD: Rain with snowfall over the hilly areas is expected in Islamabad, Kashmir, Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and northern and western Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
Rain forecast
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an alert that heavy rain with snowfall is expected in Murree, Kashmir, Galliyat, northern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours. The rain is likely to subside dense fog in plain areas of Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Air quality
The air quality in Lahore is 192 US AQI; in Bahawalpur, it is 240, 308 in Muridke, and 159 in Rawalpindi. In Sindh, the air quality in Karachi is 164 US AQI, 318 in Mirpur Khas, while Islamabad’s air quality stands at 168. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the air quality in Peshawar is 208, while 88 in Abbottabad.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET), a maximum of 10 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 7°C in Lahore, 17°C in Karachi, 13°C in Peshawar, and 5°C in Gilgit.
