Qatari FM Praises Pakistan’s Diplomatic Efforts for Regional Stability

Pakistan and Qatar discuss regional developments, diplomacy and cooperation during high-level telephone call.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, to discuss the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual concern, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said on Monday.

According to the Foreign Office, the two leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments and emphasised the importance of dialogue and sustained diplomatic engagement in addressing ongoing challenges facing the wider region.

During the conversation, Minister Al-Khulaifi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and its continuing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional understanding and stability. He acknowledged Islamabad’s engagement on key regional issues and underscored the value of diplomatic coordination in the current environment.

Dar, in turn, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing the shared objectives of peace, stability and prosperity both within the region and beyond. He reiterated that Pakistan supports peaceful engagement, dialogue and cooperative approaches to resolving disputes and reducing tensions.

The discussion also reflected the close bilateral ties between Pakistan and Qatar, with both sides expressing the desire to continue consultations on regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The telephone conversation comes at a time of heightened diplomatic activity across the region, as countries seek greater coordination and dialogue to address emerging political and security challenges.
