MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin is slated to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping virtually on Tuesday along with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Putin will be making his first public appearance since the internal uprising in his country. Two weeks ago, Wagner, a private
mercenary organization, took control of key military sites in Russia. However, the issue was solved by a covert agreement.
Wagner retreated, and the group’s head Yevgeny Prigozhin was exiled to Belarus. What this signifies for Putin’s regime and the war in Ukraine is currently up in the air.
The Chinese defense minister met with his Russian colleague on Monday and promised to strengthen their military ties.
