Putin Approves Aid for Families of Soldiers Killed in Ukraine War

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday signed a decree to pay five million rubles (68,800 US Dollars) in aid to the families of Russian soldiers who were killed in the Ukraine war.

The decree, which also includes additional social guarantees for the Russian security forces, soldiers, and their families, was published on the website of the Russian Legal Information Agency.

Meanwhile, three million financial aid (41,300 US Dollars) will be paid to the soldiers who went through trauma or were injured during the Ukraine war.

The decision, which took effect as of the date it was approved, will cover the families of the soldiers killed and those injured as of February 24, when the Russia-Ukraine war started.
