ISLAMABAD: Punjab’s Minister for Human Rights, Khalil George, paid a visit to the Punjab Child Protection and Welfare Bureau on Thursday and expressed his appreciation for their dedicated efforts in promoting the welfare of children.
Dr. Sara Ahmed, Chairperson of the Child Protection Bureau, provided the minister with a comprehensive overview of the measures undertaken to ensure the well-being of children. She highlighted that the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau extends its care to children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or neglected within the province.
Dr. Ahmed stressed the bureau’s strong commitment to providing the children with a well-rounded education and training experience. During their stay, these children receive instruction in various skills, and particular attention is given to the education of even the underprivileged children residing there. The bureau’s mission is to address their educational, health, and other essential needs, with the ultimate goal of nurturing their skills and preparing them to become productive members of society.
Caretaker Minister Khalil George applauded the Punjab Government’s efforts in the field of child welfare. He underscored the significance of enhancing public awareness regarding the contributions of such welfare organizations and pledged unwavering federal-level support for their noble cause.
