ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Secretary Information Faisal Karim Kundi said on Thursday that PPP is not going for a political alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the upcoming general elections, scheduled 8 February.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that PPP would contest the upcoming polls according to its manifesto that is given by party chief Bilawal Bhutto.
He added that all the political forces should respect the mandate of the masses and PPP will contact all the political parties for making Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as Prime Minister after the general elections.
Underlining his confidence on the Election Commission of Pakistan, Kundi said that the ECP would take all possible steps to ensure free, fair and transparent polls across the country.
PPP for chance to young politicians
He said that PPP respect the senior politicians but believes that now youth should be given chance to play their active role in the politics.
Kundi said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had addressed the 6 workers convention in which he briefed about the performance of sixteen months of the government.
He the office bearers and party workers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chapter for organizing a successful ‘Workers Convention’ of the party chief in the province.
Kundi said that the public gathering in Lahore was an eye opener for those comparing the return of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Faisal Kundi alleged that the narrative of Nawaz Sharif ‘Vote Ko Izzat Do’ (Respect the Vote) ended after his return to Pakistan from London.
He added that no political victimization has been witnessed during the tenure of the PPP government unlike the rulers of Punjab who always remained involved in such victimization when came into power.
