ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid rich tribute to Capt. Sarwar Shaheed (Nishan-i-Haider), on his 76th martyrdom anniversary, appreciated his valor and sacrifice to safeguard the motherland.
The PM, in a statement, stated that Captain Sarwar Shaheed embraced martyrdom in the 1948 war by setting an example of courage and bravery. Shehbaz Sharif said that Capt. Sarwar Shaheed preferred the protection of his country to his life and set an eternal example for the next generations.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Captain Sarwar Shaheed’s martyrdom anniversary was a reminder for the entire nation of the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs. The PM said the whole country could never forget the sacrifices of the officers and men of the Pakistan Army for safeguarding the motherland.

“The entire nation, including me, is proud of the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and their families. The entire nation stands by the officers and men of the Pakistan armed forces who are defending the motherland without caring about their own lives, ” the PM said.
