LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will observe Breast Cancer Awareness Day during the Pakistan-England ODI in Lahore on October 25, using international cricket to promote early detection, regular screening and timely treatment.
The fourth match of the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series, which also features Sri Lanka, will be played at Gaddafi Stadium as part of the PCB’s corporate social responsibility initiatives during Pinktober, the global breast cancer awareness campaign held in October.
Pakistan Players to Wear Pink Kits
The Pakistan men’s cricket team will wear specially designed pink kits during the match to show solidarity with breast cancer patients and survivors.
England players, match officials and commentators will also be invited to wear pink ribbons in support of the campaign.
Pink branding will feature on the match stumps, while awareness messages and campaign visuals will appear on stadium screens and LED advertising boards. Commentators will also share information during the live broadcast.
The PCB will promote the initiative through digital campaigns, special player videos and limited-edition pink-themed merchandise available through its official retail channels.
