ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has conducted a virtual security exercise at Sheikh Zayed International Airport, also known as Rahim Yar Khan Airport, to deal with emergencies and untoward incidents.
PCAA’s statement
The Airport Security Force, Punjab Police, Army, Rangers, Elite Squad, Rescue-1122, Health Department, and Special Branch Punjab Police all participated in the joint exercise, according to a PCAA spokesman here on Wednesday.
In addition, Pakistan International Airlines and the Airport Vigilance Section teams participated in the
exercise.
According to the spokesperson, the goal of the exercise was to test the quality and effectiveness of coordination and communication between various airport agencies. “The security agencies met the exercise’s objectives on time.”
