ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, following his two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates, is set to undertake a bilateral visit to the State of Kuwait on November 28-29, 2023.
During the visit, the premier will meet with Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al Jaber Al Sabah, and Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah.
The agenda for the visit encompasses the signing of various Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) covering sectors such as Manpower, Information Technology, Mineral Exploration, Food Security, Energy, and Defence.
The bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait have a rich history spanning over six decades, and the year 2023 is especially significant as it marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
During the visit, Pakistan and Kuwait will ink heavy investment Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth $10 billion.
Earlier on November 24, the federal cabinet, in its Friday meeting, approved these seven MoUs, covering various sectors such as environment, mining, and food security.
Pakistan’s Prime minister is currently in UAE for the COP-28 summit to address the critical issue of climate change.
