LAHORE: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived at a spectacularly festive Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on the occasion of the Pakistan Super League final match, where a dazzling fireworks display and electrifying music show had already enthralled a capacity crowd.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, individually greeted and shook hands with the players from both competing teams as fireworks lit up the night sky and the roar of thousands of fans filled the stadium.

Before the start of the match, a group photograph was taken featuring the Prime Minister, the PCB Chairman, and the captains of the two finalist teams, Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam and Hyderabad Kingsmen’s Marnus Labuschagne, with the glittering trophy on display.

Earlier in the evening, the closing ceremony had turned into a vibrant celebration, bringing together music, energy, and cricket fandom. Performances by Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, Atif Aslam, and Aima Baig set an electrifying tone, while a breathtaking fireworks display heightened the atmosphere, much to the delight of the packed stadium.

The return of fans, who had initially been barred due to fuel conservation measures, added a renewed sense of excitement, turning the event into a shared experience rather than just a ceremony.

The Prime Minister appreciated the hard work and dedication shown by both teams in reaching the final and extended his best wishes for the title match. He also acknowledged the PCB’s efforts in organising a world-class event despite earlier challenges.

Federal Ministers Muhammad Aurangzeb, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Attaullah Tarar, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Abdul Aleem Khan, Rana Mubashir Iqbal, and Special Assistant Talha Barki were also present alongside the Prime Minister on the occasion.
