ABU DHABI: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar wrapped up his three-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates and departed for Kuwait from Abu Dhabi’s Al-Bateen Airport on Tuesday.
At the airport, he was bid farewell by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, and the Pakistani diplomatic staff.
During his upcoming two-day visit to Kuwait, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Economic Cooperation Between Pakistan and Kuwait
The visit aims to initiate a new phase of economic cooperation between the two countries, with the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) covering various sectors, including manpower, information technology, minerals and mining, food security, energy, and defense.

The bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait have a rich history spanning over six decades, and the year 2023 is especially significant as it marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
During the visit, Pakistan and Kuwait will ink heavy investment Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth $10 billion.
Earlier on November 24, the federal cabinet, in its Friday meeting, approved these seven MoUs, covering various sectors such as environment, mining, and food security.
Pakistan’s Prime minister is currently in UAE for the COP-28 summit to address the critical issue of climate change.
Earlier today, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar had visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, where he offered fateha at the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The visionary leadership of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, he noted, had fostered a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among nations worldwide. The Prime Minister recalled the close relationship between the late Sheikh Zayed and the people and leadership of Pakistan.
