ISLAMABAD: After witnessing a strengthened week, the Pakistani rupee witnessed an Rs1.67 devaluation against the US Dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 279.26 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs277.59.
Meanwhile, the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market also witnesses a little with slight increases and were available at Rs282 and Rs285.5, respectively, as reported by the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
Pakistani Rupee Against Euro, Pound and Riyal
Like the greenback, the price of the Euro also observed an increase for the second consecutive day and increased by Rs 2.18 to close at Rs 313.91 against Rs 311.73 on Friday.
However, the Japanese Yen remained unchanged and was available at Rs2.01, whereas the British Pound observed an increase of Rs1.48 in the exchange rate and was available at Rs365.67 against Rs364.19 the previous day.
The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and Emirates Dirham increased by 45 paisa and 46 paisa to close at Rs74.43 and Rs76.03, respectively.
