KARACHI: The recent Hum Style Awards 2024, hosted in Karachi, saw the usual glitz and glamour marred by a wave of criticism directed at some of Pakistan’s most beloved celebrities.
Traditionally an event celebrating style and sophistication, this year’s ceremony took a controversial turn as several celebrities faced backlash for their choice of attire. Alizeh Shah, Aima Baig, Bilal Saeed, and others have been singled out for criticism regarding their fashion choices and styling, as reported different section of media.
Fans have expressed dissatisfaction with actresses and other celebrities for promoting Western culture through their contemporary attire. Many believe that opting for such daring outfits signifies alignment with Western agendas and values.
However, at the event TV star Hania Amir expressed solidarity with the people of Gaza at the Awards ceremony after securing the award for “Most Stylish Actress.” She Aamir was also spotted wearing a Keffiyeh-imprinted pink and black suit in order to show her support with the people of Gaza.
