ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan–Türkiye Joint Commando and Special Forces Exercise Jinnah-XIII has been successfully concluded in Türkiye, highlighting strong defence cooperation and shared commitment to regional security.

The exercise brought together elite combat teams from the Pakistan Army and Turkish Armed Forces, with training activities conducted in Ankara and Isparta. Both sides demonstrated high levels of professionalism and operational excellence throughout the drills.

Designed to enhance counterterrorism capabilities, the exercise focused on refining operational techniques, procedures, and coordination between the two militaries.

Special emphasis was placed on combat in built-up areas and tackling improvised explosive devices (IEDs), reflecting evolving security challenges.

Historic ties

Military officials described the exercise as a significant step in improving interoperability and readiness, enabling both forces to respond more effectively to complex threats.
