ISLAMABAD: Pacer Shaheen Afridi has said that Pakistan will make history by winning the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.
The Chennai chapter of Pakistan’s campaign in the mega event starts on Monday when they play Afghanistan at MA Chidambaram Stadium. After Afghanistan, Pakistan would stay in the city to play South Africa on October 27 for their second and last match of the tournament here.
Pakistan, after four matches, are fifth on the points table with two wins and as many losses. After following the tournament with remarkable wins over the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, Pakistan have had a few tough outings.
Green Shirts were eager to leave Chennai 4-2 up, and Shaheen Afridi believes that learnings from the last two clashes would help the team in the upcoming matches.
We are aware of the expectations from the side, and we are eager to fulfill them, Shaheen said.

Pakistan’s Loss to Australia
Speaking about the loss to Australia, Shaheen said that he was aware that it was a high-scoring venue.
The pacer said that he tried different variations during his bowling as it was necessary on pitches like this, and it was very important to acclimatize as a bowler.
