LAHORE: The arch-rival India and Pakistan are not only facing each other in the ICC T20 World Cup this year, but the women’s teams from both sides will also meet in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 on the 21st of July in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
According to the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2024 is scheduled to begin from 19th July till 28th July, in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, whereas Pakistan will play its first game against Nepal on July 19 and will play their last group contest on July 23 against UAE. However, all eyes are on the match between India and Pakistan on 21st July as being the arch-rival, no issue if it is a men’s team or women.
The semi-finals of the mega event would be played on July 26 followed by the final on July 28.
Pakistan Women have been placed in Group A alongside India, Nepal and UAE cricket teams while Group B comprises Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malaysia.
