TEHRAN: The Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran has organised the First Pakistan Mango in Iran’s capital, Tehran, showcasing Pakistan’s world-famous mangoes and celebrating the enduring friendship between the two countries.
The festival held at Palladium Mall drew a large number of visitors and served as a platform to promote the country’s premium mangoes while strengthening trade, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people ties between the two neighbouring countries, said a press release issued by the embassy on Sunday.
In his remarks, Ambassador Imran Ahmed Siddiqui highlighted the country’s rich mango heritage. Ambassador Siddiqui noted that Pakistan is among the world’s leading producers and exporters of mangoes, with over 250 varieties renowned for their exceptional sweetness, aroma, and quality.
Festival aims to boost trade and deepen cultural ties with Iran
The Ambassador emphasised that the festival was not only an opportunity to introduce the finest mangoes to Iranian consumers but also to promote trade, cultural exchanges, and closer people-to-people ties between the two fraternal countries.
The festival attracted a large number of visitors throughout the evening. Families and children enthusiastically sampled different varieties of Pakistani mangoes, enjoyed the festive atmosphere, and took photographs at specially designed mango-themed displays and photo stands.
The event received an overwhelmingly positive response, with visitors appreciating the taste and quality of premium mangoes. The festival also provided an opportunity for Iranian consumers to experience the diversity of Pakistan’s mango varieties, reinforcing the country’s reputation as one of the world’s leading producers of the fruit.
