ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) Director General Khaqan Murtaza took over as chairman of the Cooperative Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness Programme – South Asia (COSCAP-SA) for a term of two years, PCCA spokesman said on Friday. He took over the chairmanship during the 30th Steering Committee session of the body in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
International Aviation Body
The spokesperson added that apart from 8-member nations, representatives of ICAO Asia Pacific Office, EASA, FAA, France DGAC, Boeing and Pilots’ International Association, IFALPA, also participated in the three-day meeting.
The COSCAP-SA Asia, a body of the International Civil Aviation Authority, is governed by the chairman of a Steering Committee, comprising members from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, and Maldives. The forum helps promote cooperation among the member states in the sector of aviation.
