NEW YORK: Pakistan reinforced its growing presence in the international textile market by showcasing its manufacturing excellence at Texworld New York City 2026, one of North America’s leading textile sourcing exhibitions, with the inauguration of the Pakistan Pavilion at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Centre.
The pavilion was inaugurated on Wednesday by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, alongside Consul General in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai and Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan.
Organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with the Trade and Investment Wing of the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York, the pavilion highlights the country’s expanding expertise in value-added textiles, apparel, home textiles, leather products and sports goods.

Speaking at the inauguration, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh described the textile sector as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s economy and reiterated the government’s commitment to boosting exports and deepening commercial engagement with the United States.
He said international exhibitions such as Texworld provide valuable opportunities to strengthen Pakistan’s global footprint and connect domestic manufacturers with overseas buyers.
Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai emphasised Pakistan’s standing as a dependable sourcing destination, noting that the country’s textile industry continues to meet international quality standards while offering competitive products.
He reaffirmed the Consulate’s support for facilitating stronger business partnerships between Pakistani exporters and American importers.
Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan said Texworld New York City serves as an important platform for Pakistani businesses to showcase their products, establish new commercial links and expand their presence in the US market.
Five leading Pakistani companies are participating under the Pakistan Pavilion, presenting a diverse portfolio that includes home textiles, towels, apparel, leather garments, sportswear, gloves and other textile products. The exhibitors are A1 Infinity, MRI Group, Hometex Corporation, Ruqi Sports and Niza Sports.
During the three-day exhibition, the participating companies are expected to engage with buyers, importers and industry stakeholders from across the United States and other international markets, highlighting Pakistan’s manufacturing capabilities, innovation and export potential.
Pakistan’s participation in Texworld New York City 2026 reflects the country’s continued efforts to strengthen its position in global textile markets, diversify export opportunities and build long-term commercial partnerships with international buyers.
