SANYA, China: Pakistan flexed its muscles on the sandy shores of China on Wednesday, delivering a strong performance at the Asian Beach Games in Sanya to secure three medals, two silvers in wrestling and a bronze in kabaddi.
International wrestlers Muhammad Inam Butt and Asad Ullah reached their respective finals after impressive runs throughout the tournament but were ultimately stopped by formidable Iranian opponents, settling for silver medals.

In the 80 kg category, Asad Ullah defeated India’s Mor Sachin in the quarterfinal and China’s Feng Lu in the semifinal to reach the final. He was later defeated 0–3 by Iran’s Ali Gholami, finishing with a silver medal.

In the 90 kg category, Muhammad Inam Butt maintained his strong form by defeating Bahrain’s Magomed Sharipov in the quarterfinal and Mongolia’s Turbold Ganbold in the semifinal. He faced Iran’s Amirhossein Kavousi in the final but was unable to secure the gold medal.
In the 70 kg category, Muhammad Abdullah earned a bronze medal after falling short against a competitor from Kyrgyzstan.
