ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and discussed regional developments, particularly Gaza.

During the telephonic conversation, Ishaq Dar strongly condemned Israel’s unilateral plan to restrict the Rafah crossing for the exit only of Gaza residents, a clear violation of the peace plan and a move that undermines humanitarian access, a statement issued by the Foreign Office said.

“Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring unfettered aid to Gaza and advancing coordinated efforts toward lasting peace,” it added.

Earlier, Israeli forces intensified their assaults across Gaza and the occupied West Bank. In eastern Gaza, powerful explosions shook residential areas, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky amid widespread devastation.

According to Arab media, Israel conducted an airstrike near the “Yellow Line” close to Tufah Muhalla, while sustained gunfire continued to hit neighborhoods in the east.

The Israeli Air Force also launched several strikes in Rafah, heavily damaging multiple structures and worsening the humanitarian situation in the southern city.
