Pakistan Reschedules Medical and Dental College Admission Test to September 20

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council reschedules medical and dental admission test to ensure secure and transparent examination process.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has rescheduled the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, moving the examination date from August 16 to September 20.

According to a press release issued by PM&DC on Thursday, the decision was taken on the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to ensure the smooth, secure and transparent conduct of the nationwide admission test while facilitating all candidates.

The council informed students, parents, educational institutions and other stakeholders that all existing terms, conditions and examination arrangements would remain unchanged unless any further notification was issued.

PM&DC advised candidates to regularly check its official website and communication platforms for updates, instructions and any further announcements regarding the examination.

The council also expressed appreciation for the cooperation and understanding of all stakeholders and regretted any inconvenience caused by the change in schedule.

The MDCAT is a mandatory entrance examination for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.
