ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Planning and Development, Sami Saeed, has underscored Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to expediting the implementation of projects within the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad on Monday, Minister Saeed emphasized that significant progress has been made on special economic zones, highlighting the government’s proactive measures to enhance the security of personnel engaged in CPEC-related initiatives.
The Chinese Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Planning’s diligent efforts in advancing the completion of projects under the CPEC framework. Additionally, the Chinese envoy extended an invitation to Minister Sami Saeed to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Forum, scheduled to commence in Beijing on the 17th of this month. This reaffirms the collaborative spirit and commitment between Pakistan and China in furthering their economic cooperation and shared initiatives.
